When it comes to finding someone/can I trust you?

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been gone for a few weeks and to be honest I’ve been going through a lot personally.  Sometimes we may talk about God when everything is going perfect, but I noticed that when things are not going perfect that’s when we truly stop the lip service and actually SEEK after him!

I was inspired to write this poem one night. I was thinking about how hard it was for me to trust the opposite gender. I won’t really go into what makes me not trust them in this post, but MAYBE another post… 

This is an Original Poem, so if it doesn’t rhyme… it was intentional 🙂 please enjoy!

Do I make you bored?

Are the sentences that my tongue speak out 

force you to fall asleep? 

Is there excitement when you’re with me? 

Do you yearn to call me and spend time together?

When I walk into a room does your heart skip a beat?

And you thank your Father for creating me?

Do you love the way I walk and talk, 

And the way that I’m adorned?

From head to toes, do you find me appealing even though no skin is shown?

I know that when I meet you

I will tell you of all that I have waited for 

But

Is it ok that I don’t shave my legs and armpits

and that I wear my hair natural? 

No extensions, 

Because I refuse to be like everyone else and blend in

I like my hair on my shoulder, but when it’s humid and it’s shrinks 

Are you ok with that?

I like to wear long dresses and skirts

Short sleeves and long

I like to wear stylish clothes and I aim to be modest

My one true goal is to be pure and holy

Not only with my clothing but with my heart and body 

Is that what you’re looking for? 

Because 

When it comes to finding someone 

I want someone who will accept me 

Someone who will love and support me

Someone who will honestly care for me

Someone I can trust

Can I trust you?
When you’re alone and I’m not there

Can I trust you?

When my girls come and stand

And their perfume sneaks to your side

Can I trust you ?

I plan to wait for intimacy, 

I plan to save all touches and feels

Because although it’s nice to have someone by my side

I need someone I can trust!

And It’s ok for me 

if I have to wait a while

Love ,support and trust 

That is what I want

So…

 when it comes to Finding someone,

Can I trust you?
