I’m Chasing after you!

Thank you once again for taking the time to visit me today!

Today’s post is a little bit different. I felt inspired to quote one of my favorite songs!

“I’m chasing after you” by Vashawn Mitchell.

You know, when a man is chasing after a woman he says a lot of different things to win her over…

The man will act a little sweeter than usual to her, buy her flowers, chocolate, and recite poetry( which he plagiarize…). And if the guy is really creative he’ll make her personalize gifts…

But for most women, materials things like I stated above won’t do it alone!

What makes a Christian woman melt is When a Christian man quote to her scriptures!!

Guys… Here’s some examples.. 🙂

Biblical Examples that may help you win her over:

If you want to Complement her eyes and hair: (she might laugh, but she’ll appreciate the effort.)

“Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.”

If you want to tell her that she is precious: (you may have to substitute ‘she’ for you.)

“She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

And lastly…

Saying she’s the only one for you:

Search the scriptures, pray for direction on how you should go about pursuing her, and be yourself!

Now, how does that relate to the song “I’m chasing after you?”

Not that God is running away from me, and that I need to chase him. But that I love him so much, I want to pursue after him. I want to please him!

God is my/our first love!

“We love him, because he first loved us.”

When I love someone I strive to do things to them happy. But all God ask for is for me to give him my whole self to him. He wants my heart, my mind, my whole entire being! He wants my worship! He wants all my love to be for him! Not to have any other before him!

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”

1 John 5:3 KJV

To keep his commandments is what he wants!!!

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

1 John 4:10 KJV

This song reminds me that even when I “do not feel like..” I should !

Whether it’s praying, fasting, worshiping, praising, etc…

Because the more that I seek after him, he will draw closer to me!

When situations come, when trials come, heartache from friends and family, I still need to seek after him!!!
