Pettiness(original Poem)/ 4year Blog Anniversary

Hello Everyone ! Today makes it officially 4 years since I’ve had this blog! Slowly it is growing and I know that bigger is in store!

I wrote a poem about pettiness. What inspired me to write it was because I was tired of people taking me for granted because of my niceness! I hope you will enjoy it!

Pettiness.

I struggle with being petty.

I do not like confrontation,

I ignore it at all cost.

When you stepped on my foot

I figured you made a misstep

When you skipped me in line

I figured you must have been starving…

I struggle with pettiness.

I do not like confrontation,

So I avoid it at all cost…

But,

When you stepped on my foot,

I wanted to slap you silly,

Wanted to retract my steps,

So my foot could end up

Crushing yours because of my

Apparent misstep.

When you skipped me in line,

I wanted to say “excuse me,

Who do you think you are?”

Because just like you,

I was starving too.

I struggle with being petty.

I do not like confrontation,

I ignore it at all cost.
